QUESTION 1 ANSWER
Which of the following sentences does NOT express the reasons for us having SOP’s?
- To use as a tool to fire you when you don’t do what is in the SOP
- To ensure you know what is expected of you at work
- To assist you with ensuring you have the correct materials and equipment to do your work correctly
- To assist you with your own development and progress
An SOP is there as a tool for you to use. It assists us all in ensuring that we know what is expected of you at work, helps us with ensuring we have the materials and equipment to do your work right. When used regularly, the SOP assists us with ensuring we are improving on what we are doing and in that way, helps us develop and progress as employees, in the way that will best serve us, the business and our clients. Without SOP’s, it would be very difficult for ourselves and others to measure if we are doing quality work and if we are making progress in our work and career. Although we cannot ignore SOP’s, they are not written as tools to get us into trouble – they are tools to ensure we do what we are employed to do.

- Safety in Preparation
- Care in Character

- All of the above
Our core values in terms of Arrival of the buses are:
Safety in Preparation:
Knowing the process to brief the clients before they jump off the buses and being aware of the risk when coming into camp. RISKS: Sunburn, (rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopard, buffalo) and contact with the electric fence.
Care in Character
To have facilitators that oversee and take charge of the process to brief the learners before they jump off the buses.

QUESTION 3 ANSWER
What part of our job shows the client that they are about to receive great Value 4 Money, as soon as they arrive?
- Welcoming board with the group’s name and facilitators waiting for the group to arrive.
- Having facilitators that take charge of the process before learners get off the bus
- Briefing learners about the risks, such as wild animals, sunburn and contact with the electric fence
- Showing the group where the bathrooms are as soon as they get off the bus
Although all aspects of our arrival process are important, one of the first things a client sees when they drive in, is their name on the board and a group of professional facilitators, ready to receive them. This is the first step in ensuring our clients have a great Value for the Money experience with us.

Assigning of facilitators roles can take on the day of arrival, as long as it is done proactively and early enough. Writing on the welcoming board and going through all SOPs and checklists must be done at least a day before a group arrives.

- To make sure everyone in the bathrooms comes back and that they know where to go
